    Description

Kabul Arsenal Martini-Henry Rifle Receiver Morale Patch
Made in the same city as the rifles made at the Kabul Arsenal in the late 1800s and early 1900s, these velcro patches are intended to represent the right side receiver markings of the two main variants of Kabul Arsenal Martini-Henry rifles. The early Mosque crest was later superseded by the Rub'Hizb crest which depicts a mosque within an 8-pointed star that is created by the use of two squares. Known as the "ربع الحزب‎ " in Arabic, the geometric shape features prominently in Islamic scripture and depictions throughout history.Underneath the crests is the inscription' Kar-Khana-Kabul (کار خانه کابل) roll marked in the Khouresani Kufic style of calligraphy. Below that is the Islamic Hijri date in Dari.
