    Description

    Turn-of-the-century sterling silver trophy cup. Made by Peter L. Krider in Philadelphia.
    Baluster body on raised foot. Straight neck with ruffled rim. Gadrooned border. Mounted to shoulder are two cast horse heads wreathed in laurel. Acid-etched and engraved ornament: On one side is a horse and phrase "The American Horse Show Association / Chicago" in ribbon script. On other side is a railway car with phrase "The Arms Palace Horse Car Company / 390 390 / Chicago Illinois", and engraved presentation. The Arms Palace Horse Car Company supplied railway cars for transporting horses. Fully marked.
