Providing HDV with the 1080i Standard and joining the existing DVCAM range, the HVR-Z1E offers users an affordable migration path from Standard Definition whilst retaining the popular DVCAM benefits such as ease of use and i.LINK connectivity. In addition to its compact size, the HVR-Z1E boasts a number of features over consumer-oriented products making it ideal for the professional user. The HVR-Z1E is equipped with a 3CDD HD 1080i in 16:9 Widescreen-viewfinder and more than 1 million megapixels for a resolution of 1440 x 1080 by using the technology "spatial offset". It also integrates the DXP processor (Digital eXtended Processor), HD 14 bits of high precision assuring an A/D 14 bits conversion. The high definition Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T lens on the HVR-Z1E, with it's optical 12x zoom, guaranties exceptional high definition pictures without any trace of chromatic aberration! HDV / DVCAM / DV Switchable: Providing professional users with the flexibility to choose the format that suits your production needs and offering an easy migration from a Standard Definition environment. Built-in converter to take HDV images to Standard Definition: The flexibility to film your footage in HDV and use the camera's down-converter to output Standard Definition pictures if required. As a professional product, Sony CDD recognizes that your needs are different to that of a consumer. As a result the HVR-Z1E incorporates more than 40 extra functions over the consumer camcorder HDR-FX1E to help support you and your production needs.
